What to Prepare – Customer Pre-Clean Preparations
Pre-Vacuum
Since steam cleaning units are not made to suck up dry soils, we highly recommend a thorough vacuuming before we professionally steam clean your carpets. A good pre-vacuum will extract all the loose dirt and debris in your carpet, insuring the most optimal carpet cleaning results.
Furniture Moving
While our carpet cleaning technicians are at your property, they are able to help move basic furniture. However, there are larger pieces of furniture that our cleaning technicians are not able to move. Chairs, love seats, and small tables are typically items we are able to move. We cannot however, move heavy items such as sectionals, beds, or entertainment centers. If these large items are on an area that you feel needs cleaning, we recommend that these items be moved before our carpet cleaning technician arrives. We ask that you remove all breakable items on and around the furniture to avoid any potential accidents.
Upgraded Options
Heavily Soiled Booster
Every once in a while there is that one area in your home that just looks hopeless. In order to have a fighting chance at these heavily soiled areas, we have made a specialty product available to get the best possible results. We prep your heavily soiled traffic areas with a super strength cleaning booster that is added to the pre-spray, and pre-brush the carpet to agitate and lift the deep down dirt and grease. The booster is a citrus based de-greaser that breaks down soils and improves even the most hopeless areas in your home. This will improve the cleaning results and also lift the pile of your carpet for a better appearance.
Pet Stain and Odor Treatments
Got pets? We specialize in removing pet urine and odor from your carpet and subsurface areas. Each of our technicians is equipped with a U/V flashlight to ensure that all of your carpeted areas that have been contaminated with pet stains and odors are identified, and treated properly. We offer several different treatments including deep subsurface urine remediation, urine crystallization & extraction, and topical odor treatments.
Specialty Stain Removal
At every job that we perform, we always try to get all of your spots out with our standard cleaning service. There are however, some stains that have actually dyed the fibers of your carpet, and require special removal techniques and cleaning products. The most common dye stains found in the homes that we clean are Kool-Aid, wine, paint, protein, pet, ink, tea, and coffee stains. Some stains are so damaging to carpets that the only hope to salvage the area is to cut a carpet patch from an inconspicuous area such as a closet, and place it in the infected area. Rest assured that no matter the issue that you may have in your carpet, our carpet cleaning technician will help find you a solution that best fits your needs.
Turbo Dry
If 6 to 8 hours of staying off of your carpet for dry time is just too long, then we also have an option available to cut that dry time in half. After cleaning your carpet, we can turbo dry all of your carpet areas with our high powered air movers for fast drying results. This greatly reduces the risk of mildew or mold, shrinking of carpet, and dirt accumulation from foot traffic on wet carpet. Ask our cleaning technician to turbo dry your home on your next visit!
Carpet Protectors
In the manufacturing of most carpeting, the carpet fibers are dyed to a color of choice, and then sealed. This sealant or protectant helps the carpet hold in the color dye, makes for more effective vacuuming and cleaning, and protects it from wear patterns and discolorations. Protector is also needed to block out anything that wants to penetrate the fibers, such as spills.
There are 2 main ways that the original carpet sealant put onto your carpet can dissipate:
1. Over time with use
- The normal wear and tear in your home will eventually wear the sealant out.
2. Professional cleaning
- Professional cleaning agents are made to extract all soils in the carpet. In the process, some cleaning products can also extract your protector.
How can you prevent this?
Carpet protector can be laid down by our professional cleaning technicians after our cleaning process. The protector provides superior repellency and outstanding soil protection for all types of residential carpet, renewing the sealant that your carpet once had when it was brand new. To put it simply, carpets stay cleaner, brighter, newer and fresher through all kinds of daily wear! Protectant creates a unique invisible shield around carpet fibers.
